Sanitary towels are used between the vulva and underwear. There are two types of sanitary napkins. The first ones have adhesives that adhere to the panties, while others have wings that are wrapped under the panties to hold the pad in place. After every 4 to 8 hours, sanitary napkins should be changed to prevent them from getting soaked.
DISPOSABLE SANITARY TOWELS
Step 1

You can see if the toilet cushion is in the correct position, pulling on your underwear. It should cover the entire opening of your vagina.
Step 6
In every two hours you should check your sanitary towels to see if it needs to be changed. You will know that it is time to change it when the sanitary towels are wet on the surface and no longer absorb menstrual fluids.

Fold used sanitary towels, such as when you first took it out of the pack. You should wrap the toilet paper around the sanitary towels and after that, throw it away in a trash can.
REUSABLE SANITARY TOWELS
Step 1
You need to sit on the toilet and pull your underwear up just above your knees.

Put the sanitary towels in the crotch of your underwear with the snaps on the wings facing up towards you.

After that, you have to bend the wings over the sides of the crotch of your underwear.

Place used and reusable toilet rollers in a bucket of soapy water to soak. Place a lid on the top of the bucket and store it under the sink. You have to keep putting each used sanitary napkins in the bucket until the end of your menstrual cycle. At the end, when you are done with your period, you should empty the bucket of sanitary towels and soapy water into the washer and wash in hot water with regular laundry detergent.
Warnings
You have to dispose of used disposable sanitary napkins in a trash can that is out of the reach of pets. It is so, because some pets are attracted by the smell of menstrual blood.
